IHOP CHANGES ADVERTISING APPROACH

IHOP Corp., owners and operators of International House of Pancakes restaurants, has unveiled its new advertising campaign called "IHOP Revealed". The national advertising campaign was created by kirshenbaum bond & partners west of San Francisco. The campaign features IHOP spokesperson Cliff and introduces a new cast of characters including "Strawberry Syrup", "Old-Fashioned Syrup" and "Mr. Pan Cake". The television spots take viewers behind-the-scenes at IHOP, giving consumers the inside scoop of IHOP's pancakes and other specialties as well as promote the restaurant chain's new After Breakfast menu. "IHOP Revealed" broke yesterday and is the first time IHOP has changed it advertising in 7 years. Based in Glendale, California, IHOP has 864 restaurants in 37 states, Japan and Canada.
