WWW.MONTRALPLUS.COM TO DEBUT IN NOVEMBER

Bell ActiMedia, Transcontinental Group, Communications Voir and Societe Radio-Canada have teamed up to design and develop an Internet portal for the city of Montreal. http://www.Montrealplus.ca will offer information on cultural, arts, sports, community events, local, national and international news, job opportunities and a list of restaurant and hotels for the city of Montreal. Bell ActiMedia will hold 55 per cent of the site, Transcontinental Group will hold 35 per cent and Communications Voir, 10 per cent. The site will be financed by selling advertising space, hosting microsites and developing e-business solutions. Bell Actimedia, which is the site main shareholder, will be responsible for site design, development and management. Currently Bell ActiMedia manages the French-and English-language sites of <http://www.sympatico.ca>. "Montrealplus.ca will provide a simple, quick way to discover Montreal from A to Z," Bell ActiMedia president Serge Fortin said. Radio-Canada will also provide news and sports content for the site as well as information on cultural activities. The site is scheduled to launch in November.
