Trojan Sports & Event Marketing has announced Mary Heenan has joined the agency as an account manager. Heenan joins Trojan from Palmer Jarvis DDB in Winnipeg where she worked on sponsorship sales for the 1999 Pan American Games and the 1998 Labatt Brier, as well as on event management and traditional advertising for Manitoba Telecom Services, Investors Group, Manitoba Hydro, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the 1999 World Junior Hockey Championships. In her newly-created role at Trojan, Heenan will be overseeing project work for clients and will be assisting on new business and agency operations.
Glennie Stamnes Strategy has announced a new appointment and a recent promotion within the firm. Laurie McGuinness joins the creative team at the Vancouver-based firm. He will have the opportunity to work on the agency's new business program as well as existing clients, such as Toyota BC Dealers and Molson Breweries (Western Division). Most recently McGuinness freelanced as a copywriter, working on projects for Bosa Developments, The Vancouver Sun, The Province and The General Store. Nikki Hellyer has been promoted from account coordinator to account executive. Most recently Hellyer has worked on the Toyota BC Dealers, Ethical Funds, Canuck Place, BC Brain Injury Association and Hummingbird Kids Society.
