CNE AND KEY SPONSORS BANKING ON A MILLION

The Canadian National Exhibition has launched a promotional initiative designed to help drive attendance to the 18 day event. Beginning August 20 through to September 6, the "Bank a Million" promotion will be running in partnership with key sponsors including: Bank One, JVC, Bell Mobility, Hershey, Nestea Iced Tea, Sam the Record Man, Bayview Wildwood Resort, Dewbourne Developments, CFRB Radio, Mix 99.9 Radio, CFTO Television and the Toronto Sun. Each patron who purchases a full-price $7 or $5 grounds admission for the 1999 CNE, will be given a game card for a chance to win a million dollars. Patrons scan their cards at the Bank One Million Dollar Vault to win instant prizes or fill out the back of their game card to enter for the grand prize and daily draws. Vectra Marketing Group of Richmond Hill, Ontario created the promotion for the CNE and is handling the sponsorship support for the "Bank a Million" gate promotion. Radio, print and television advertising is supporting the promotion from CFRB, Mix 99.9, CFTO and the Toronto Sun. All advertising was done by the individual sponsors.
