HEINZ, MCCAIN, FOOT LOCKER TEAM UP FOR BACK TO SCHOOL CAMPAIGN

Heinz Canada, McCain Foods and Foot Locker are linking its french fries, ketchup and running shoes together in a national cross-promotion for the back-to-school season. Launched yesterday in selected Foot Locker stores and grocery chain outlets across Canada, McCain fries and Heinz's ketchup products are pairing up. With every purchase of Heinz Ketchup and McCain Superfries or Homefries, consumers receive a Back-To-School Cool coupon. Combined with the UPC bar codes from both Heinz ketchup and McCain superfries, shoppers will receive a $10 discount on purchases of $25 or more at Foot Locker stores. To support the promotion, which is running until mid-September, a six-week television campaign will also be running. In-store materials in both Foot Locker locations and grocery outlets are also promoting the Back-To-School Cool campaign. The creative for the campaign was done by Zeppelin Communications of Toronto.
