ZELLERS TREATING MOM TO DINNER WITH A STAR
By Adnews Staff
Zellers Inc. of Brampton, Ontario is not forgetting about Mom on her special day. The Canadian retailer has announced a special Mother's Day draw on May 10, inspired by the company's new Gloria Vanderbilt commercial staring Eric Braeden, who plays Victor Newman on the daytime soap opera The Young and the Restless. To support the contest, a version of the Gloria Vanderbilt commercial, made especially for the contest, features Braeden first wooing a young woman on a park bench before inviting the viewers to "run away with him." The contest is running at all Zellers stores across Canada from April 28 to May 9. On May 10, four grand prize winners will be drawn, each from different regions around the country. The grand prize includes a three night stay at the Beverly Hills Hotel, a spa package, chauffeured travel around Los Angeles by personal limousine, a $500 Gloria Vanderbilt wardrobe, $1,000 spending money and dinner with Eric Braeden. Secondary prizes of Revlon gift baskets will be awarded to a contestant from each participating Zellers store. Advertising for Zellers Inc. is done by Ogilvy & Mather of Toronto. PR is handled by hoffmann + company inc. of Toronto.
