NEW BRUNSWICK BEGINS VACATION DESTINATION CAMPAIGN
By Adnews Staff
The province of New Brunswick is continuing a campaign that was first launched in March 1997 to persuade Quebec residents to spend their vacations in New Brunswick. The campaign positions New Brunswick as the ideal destination for Quebecers looking for warm saltwater beaches. Billboards compare New Brunswick to the colder waters of Cape Cod, Old Orchard and Ogunquit. The campaign was created by Montreal-based LG2 and continues to emphasize that New Brunswick has the warmest saltwater north of Virginia, through advertising in magazines, billboards, 15-second television commercials and direct marketing. The province of New Brunswick has also partnered with CAE-Quebec Travel. Through the partnership, the campaign is additionally being supported with an eight-page insert detailing New Brunswick vacation packages. The insert was sent out in CAA-Quebec's Touring magazine to the association's members. CAA-Quebec will be taking direct bookings for these New Brunswick packages through their toll-free reservation centre.
