ASTRO AND VARIETY CLUB TEAM UP

Astro Dairy Products Co. and the Variety Club Canada have teamed up to raise funds and awareness for that children's charity through the "Astro Esprit Challenge". Variety Club Canada is touring Canada with a sports car filled with Astro Esprit bottles. The tour, which will stop at major malls and events, encourages Canadians to guess how many yogurt bottles are in the car. The person who guesses closest to the exact number will win use of the $150,000 Lotus Esprit Turbo V8 for one year. An alternative cash prize of $35,000 is also available. The challenge, which began in March and runs until July, will stop in Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Hamilton, Brampton, Mississauga, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. At each stop donations are being accepted when a ballot is entered in the contest. With each donation, free bottles of Astro Esprit yogurt drink and information on the charity's work are given out. To support the challenge, television commercials created by the Wolf Group of Toronto will be aired in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.
