ZEERO AND AIDS COMMITTEE CREATE YOUNG, PROUD & SAFE
By Adnews Staff
The AIDS Committee and Zeero Inc. both of Toronto have created a campaign to promote safe sex awareness toward young men. The idea for the campaign arose from a report by Health Canada, Bureau of HIV/AIDS, citing STDs were continuing to increase among young Canadians. The AIDS Committee wanted to develop a communications campaign targeting the young age group especially young men. Zeero worked with The AIDS Committee and created the "Young, Proud and Safe" campaign. The campaign attempts to promote safe sex in a style and language that is reflective of young people's lifestyle and attitudes. The campaign, which launched in January and will run over the next year, includes posters, postcards, brochures and informational condom packages placed in health clinics, medical centres, bars, bath houses and gay community venues. Zeero is a strategic design firm specializing in progressive communications for the entertainment and youth markets.
