TACO BELL, MOUNTAIN DEW AND YOU CRUISE INTO SPACE
By Adnews Staff
Taco Bell and Mountain Dew are teaming up to promote the new 32 oz. Mountain Dew "Cruiser Cup" at participating Taco Bell locations and are going to send one grand prize winner into space in the "Cruise into Space" contest. The grand prize of the Cruise into Space contest, supplied by Space Adventures, will give one winner the chance to ride a vehicle to a top speed of Mach 2.8 and a maximum height of 100 kms. The sub-orbital flight will last anywhere from 60-90 minutes and will take place in 2002, the first opportunity for tourists to travel into space. The contest will distribute 230,000 Scratch 'n' Win cards, which, in addition to the grand prize space flight, will also have Famous Players movie passes and cash prizes available to be won. The contest began last week and runs until May 5 at Taco Bells locations across Canada. Promotion of the "Cruiser Cup" and the "Cruise into Space" contest is being done using in-store promotion and point-of-purchase materials created by Armstrong Partnership of Toronto.
