ORGANON REMEMBERS WITH FORGET ME NOT
By Adnews Staff
Organon Canada Ltd. of Toronto isn't using a string tied around a finger to remind them of the importance of setting a routine for contraceptive pills. The company has created a new electronic reminder device for women called "Forget-Me-Not". Print ads in medical publications are targeting physicians to advertise the credit card size device. It works similarly to an alarm clock, with one button controlling all functions. The card is activated by pushing the "start" button when a woman takes her first pill of the month. Twenty-four hours later, a reminder alarm will sound reminding her to take her next pill. Once the woman takes her pill, she pushes the "stop" button. Once the card is activated, Forget-Me-Not is programmed to work for three months. The card is available through your physician only. Organon's principal activities are in the areas of contraception, infertility and hormone replacement therapy. Advertising for Organon is done by Publicis SMW of Toronto.
