NEW XEROX CAMPAIGN MAKES FRONT PAGE NEWS
By Adnews Staff
Xerox Canada of Toronto will shortly launch an advertising campaign for the company's Digital Printing Systems products, the result of which will in a sense be front page news. As part of a print and direct mail campaign, Xerox plans to post the daily front page of The Globe and Mail on billboards located throughout Toronto. The campaign will run for the next eight weeks, with updated creative being produced each night. When the Globe completes it front page at 1:30 a.m. a disk containing the document will be delivered to Xerox's printers. Within two hours the billboard copy will be delivered to two billboard management offices. At that point, the finished billboards will be delivered to seven high-traffic locations across Toronto. The copy will be put up between 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. every morning in order to reach morning rush hour drivers. The campaign is the first of its kind in Canada, says the company. Additional print ads will appear in newspapers and magazines. Advertising for Xerox is handled by Sharpe Blackmore Inc. of Toronto.
