CMA CONVENTION

The Canadian Marketing Association will be having its 1999 national convention and trade show May 11-13, in Quebec City. The theme of this year's convention "la vie, le vin, la fin de siecle", offers delegates a chance to salute the end of the century and prepare for the next one. Keynote speakers at the event include: Bruce Phillips, privacy commissioner of Canada, Walid Mougayar, president of CYBER Management, Rex Murphy, host of CBC Radio's "Cross Country Check Up", Tim James Higham, author of The Winds of Change Electronic Commerce and the Financial Services Industry, Ron Bliwas, president and CEO of A. Eicoff & Co. and Martin Rutte president of Livelihood and co-author of Chicken soup for the Soul at Work. The three-day convention features over 30 concurrent sessions, a day-long seminar entitled "Introduction to Direct Marketing", a trade show and a "New Years Eve in May" celebration. The CMA have 750 corporate members including Canada's major financial institutions, publishers, cataloguers and charitable organizations.
