YOUNG AND RUBICAM ADVERTISING WITH ENTERRA COMMUNICATIONS

Young & Rubicam Advertising of New York and Enterra Communications Inc. of Brampton, Ontario have become partners. The agreement will see Enterra supply Y&R with AD W.I.S.E., an Internet software program. The program will allow the advertising company to attach ads to shareware programs. "This technology can turn software programs into interactive, electronic billboards without affecting the program. Once the multimedia billboard is in place, new advertisements can be loaded and shown at start-up of the program," executive vice-president of Enterra Mark Robertson said in a release. Y&R operates over 339 offices in 73 countries. Y&R new media has developed a consulting practice designed to extend client partnership beyond branding and new content development into distribution, direct marketing and electronic business applications.
