GIRL GUIDES SEEKING A SPONSOR

Toronto-based Girl Guides of Canada is looking for a national sponsor for its annual cookie campaign. The partnership would begin in the year 2000, when Girl Guides plans to launch a new design for its traditional cookie box. A two-year deal would cost the sponsor $300,000. The sponsor will have its logo on the cookie box and on the cartons carried by the Girl Guides. Its logo and message will also be placed in advertising materials, which will include posters, and the Girl Guides Web site. The Girl Guides sell more than seven million boxes of cookies each year. The fundraising event began 70 years ago in Regina.
