CNIB AND SCOTIABANK LAUNCH TELEVISION CAMPAIGN
By Adnews Staff
The Canadian National Institute for the Blind and Scotiabank, both of Toronto, have teamed up to raise money for services to Canadians who are blind or visually impaired. The CNIB, with the help of a $300,000 contribution from Scotiabank, launched a national direct response television program called No Where To Turn earlier this week. "The show will focus on the stories of a number of different CNIB clients and the challenges they face living in a sighted world," CNIB marketing, communications and foundations vice-president Gerrard Grace said in a release. The program is scheduled to air in 30 markets across Canada, with the goal of raising close to $1 million over a 12 to 18-month period. Scotiabank has been involved with the CNIB as a business partner and donor since 1933. No Where To Turn was produced by Eagle Com of Toronto.
