CANADA POST ENCOURAGES LETTER WRITING

Canada Post is trying to get people to write letters again, instead of using e-mail, fax machines and telephones. The crown corporation launched a national cinema campaign earlier this month to encourage letter writing and will add TV ads to the mix in mid-March. Magazine ads will begin in April. The campaign was created by Publicis BCP of Montreal. Canada Post's core business is stamps for envelopes. It says that the number of letters mailed in Canada in the last five years has dropped 10%.
