SUBWAY IN HISTERIA OVER WARNER BROTHERS
By Adnews Staff
SUBWAY of Milford, Connecticut will launch a month-long North American campaign next month tying in with Warner Brothers "Histeria," a historical, animated comedy TV series. The show debuted in the Fall of 1998 in the U.S. and explores moments in world history. The comedy features guests such as George Washington, Napoleon, Joan of Arc and Shakespeare. Subway is promoting learning about world history via Subway's Kids' Pak promotion. The Kids' Pak includes a twisty history block, a "Histeria" famous moments viewfinder, a "Histeria" expedition compass and a Miss Information clip and notepad. During the promotion, Subway will spotlight its Tuna sub against McDonald's Filet-o-Fish sandwich. The campaign will be advertised using in-store materials by Publicis Hal Riney & Partners Chicago office. A television spot for U.S. and Canadian markets is also available.
