CHUM MAKES IT TO THE TOP

Toronto radio station CHUM-FM is at the top of the charts when it comes to total listeners, toppling long-time CHFI-FM down to the number three spot, according to the fall radio ratings released by the BBM Bureau of Broadcast Measurement. CHUM had more than 1.23 million weekly listeners, while CHFI had 1.14 million. The Mix 99.9 FM came in second with 1.15 million. Next in line were Q-107, CFRB 1010 AM and CBLA FM. (CBC's 99.1 FM)
CHFI did stay on top when it came to market share. The radio station had a 12.5% share of the market, while The Mix had an 8.2% share and EZ-Rock 97.3 had a 6.5%. Talk radio CFRB's market share kept the station in third place overall, but its market share slid to 8.4%, compared to 9.8% last spring and 10.2% last fall.
