INFACT PROMOTES BREASTFEEDING AS HEALTHY SOLUTION
By Adnews Staff
The Infant Feeding Action Coalition Canada is encouraging new mothers to breastfeed their babies by telling them it is the healthiest option. The organization recently launched a poster campaign that features black and white photographs of mothers breastfeeding their babies. Three of the headlines say, "For a healthy baby, please see attached." "Kids eat free" Table for two. No reservations." A fourth poster is a black and white photograph of a women's breasts with the headline, "Will work for food." The goal of the campaign is to reassure new mothers that they can produce enough milk for their babies, and also tells them that they have the right to breastfeed in public. The campaign was created by Ranscombe & Co. of Toronto. The posters will be distributed to prenatal clinics, doctors' offices, hospital maternity wards and public health units across Canada.
