HASBRO GIVES BOARD GAMES BIG PUSH

U.S.-based Hasbro Inc. is gearing up for the Christmas season with a bunch of new North American campaigns for its board games. The toy maker is supporting its family games mainly with TV ads and some print. The games being promoted using TV ads are Yahtzee, Scrabble Boggle, Memory, Pay Day and Clue. The family games being supported using print are Scrabble, Yahtzee, Monopoly, Sorry, Life, 13 Dead End Drive, Pay Day, Clue, Upwords and Boggle. Many of the games geared to adults are being supported using TV and print ads. They are Guesstures, Pictionary, Beyond Balderdash, Scattergories, Taboo, Outburst. The games being promoted using just print are Trivial Pursuit Genus IV Edition and Planet Hollywood. The campaign for the family games was created by Griffin Bacal Inc. of New York. The ads for the games geared to adults were created by Jordan McGrath Case & Partners of New York. In Canada, Hasbro is also using a major PR push to promote the games. PR is being handled by The Agency of Mississauga, Ont.
