AD BILLINGS DROP IN JAPAN

Ad billings of Japan's 10 major ad agencies dropped in July by 1.0% when compared to the same month in 1997. Billings decreased in radio, TV and sales promotion, while billings through newspapers and magazines increased. Three of the big 10 agencies saw an increase in billings. They were Dentsu, Tokyu and McCann Erickson Worldwide.
