CTC JOINS FORCES WITH MASTERCARD

The Canadian Tourism Commission has teamed up with MasterCard Canada to build Canada's tourism industry and promote the country as a top travel destination. Under the deal, the alliance will help tourism merchants with the way they do business and provide value-added benefits to MasterCard credit cardholders. The partnership will help small and medium-sized merchants in the tourism industry by creating professional development programs through in-market seminars, case studies, self-help guides and interactive CD-ROMs, doing joint research to identify market segments by developing business profiles and pre-testing marketing and promotional campaigns, and developing technology related to commercial transactions in the tourism industry. In addition, the duo will integrate Canada into existing and prospective MasterCard promotions around the world.
