PAGEMART INCREASES RETAIL DISTRIBUTION
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based PageMart Canada is expanding its retail distribution. The company is now selling its pagers in Adventure Electronics stores and will have its products in Battery Plus outlets within the next two weeks. Adventure has 145 stores in shopping malls in Ontario and Quebec. Battery Plus operates over 70 outlets across the country, including several stores in airline terminals. PageMart plans to promote its retail presence including Adventure and Battery Plus, but it will wait until the Christmas season to ensure staff at both chains are comfortable with the technology, company spokesperson Rob Graham told Adnews last week. Advertising for PageMart is handled by agencies on a project basis. Benchmark Communications of Toronto does PR. PageMart also sells its products through Wal-Mart Canada, Future Shop, the Office Depot/Office Place, CompuCentre and CompuSmart, as well as The Telephone Booth/La Cabine Telephonique. PageMart offers wireless messaging solutions to corporations and individuals. With its U.S. affiliate, PageMart Wireless, the company offers North American coverage which includes Canada, the U.S., Mexico, Central America, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and the Bahamas.
