SIX AGENCIES BATTLED FOR HYDRO BUSINESS

Six agencies fought for the Toronto Hydro Electric Commission account before it was given to Padulo Integrated of Toronto. The review initially began with six Toronto agencies: Taxi Advertising & Design, Gee, Jeffery & Partners Advertising, Dentsu Cadence, Brand X, Echo Advertising and Padulo. The short list was then pared down to two agencies: Dentsu and Padulo. Padulo was given the business because of "the creative they presented and the strategic process they followed to develop the creative," marketing vice-prresident Michael O'Connor told Adnews last week. Toronto Hydro was formed earlier this year from the six companies that served the cities now united into one megacity, Toronto.
