NIKON TOUTS NEW CAMERA

Nikon Canada of Mississauga, Ont. is promoting its newest camera in its latest national campaign. The new camera is the Pronea S, which is an advanced photo system product that offers such features as drop-in loading and takes pictures in three formats. In addition, the Pronea S offers some advantages of a single lense reflex camera, such as the ability to change lenses. The campaign will begin this week using print ads and newspaper inserts to promote the camera. The ads will feature a nightclub shot with the Pronea S. The camera will sit on the shoulder a young woman chatting with her trendy friends. The product and image shots will be showcased against a checkerboard of Nikon's trademark colors. A TV ad was launched last month for the camera. The 15-second spot features the camera swiveling in quick second movements against a backdrop of yellow and black quadrants to the beat of house music. The campaign was created by Brandworks International of Toronto.
