NEW LIQUEUR IS GOLD

Last week Toronto-based Gilbey Canada introduced a new liqueur to the Canadian market that's pure gold. Called Goldschlager, the clear drink is a cinnamon schnappes containing flakes of real 24-karat gold. Gilbey in the U.S. put the product on the market in 1992. Cossette Communication-Marketing's Toronto office does advertising for Gilbey in Canada. Mullen Advertising in the U.S. does advertising for Goldschlager. In Canada, the booze marketer is relying on spillover magazine advertising from the U.S. to promote the product.
