IMPERIAL OIL GOES BACK TO THE MOVIES

Imperial Oil has teamed up with Cineplex Odeon and Empire Theatres to produce a sequel to the trio's movie coupon promotion. Beginning this month, customers at Imperial Oil's Esso service stations will receive $2 off the price of one regular adult admission to Cineplex Odeon and Empire Theatres when they purchase a minimum of 25 litres of gas and swipe their Esso Extra Card or pay for their purchase using their Esso credit card. Imperial Oil ran a similar promotion last fall with Cineplex. In addition, every swipe of either card will give customers a chance to win one of four trips for four to Hollywood. Trips will include airfare, hotel accommodation, car rental, $1,000 spending money and a tour of Universal Studios. The promotion will be supported using TV ads in major markets across Canada, in-lobby programming in Cineplex and Empire theatres, point-of-sale materials at Esso service stations and direct mail. The campaign will be created by Goodgoll Curtis of Toronto. PR is being handled by Marshall Fenn Communications of Toronto.
