PR VET OPENS OWN FIRM

Public relations veteran Pat McNamara has opened her own agency in Toronto. Called APEX Public Relations, the firm will specialize in brand marketing and corporate communications. McNamara has 15 years of experience in the field. She was most recently general manager at Langdon, Starr, Ketchum of Toronto. McNamara's experience includes corporate positioning campaigns, sponsorships, new products, special events management, media relations, as well as crisis and issues management. Gerald Crowell has joined APEX as vice-president. Previously he was a senior consultant at GPC Communications of Toronto. Crowell has provided PR services for clients in the consumer packaged goods, telecommunications and technology sectors for over 15 years.
