By Adnews Staff
YTV Canada unveiled its new motto and ad campaign this week to promote its fall TV season. The new motto is "Keep It Weird." The campaign uses print and transit ads, as well as on-air promotions and Web site activities. The campaign will promote some of the 57 new shows YTV will be airing this fall. The ads were created by Ameoba Corp. of Toronto, while Leo Burnett Co. of Toronto handled the media buy. The media spend for the campaign was almost $3 million. The new shows to air on YTV include Animorphs, a sci-fi fantasy about five teens who have the ability to turn into animals and battle alien invaders; Shadow Raiders, a new series featuring the latest in computer generated imaging technology; The new Addams Family, a 90s version of the old classic; Young Hercules; Daria, featuring a girl with smarts and attitude; Blue's Clues for preschoolers and Pinky and the Brain. In addition, the network launched YTV Jr. this week, which will feature six hours of commercial-free programming from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each weekday.
