THE BAY FOCUSES ON FASHION WITH NEW RAG

The Bay has found a new way to promote its wares. The retailer has teamed up with Maclean Hunter Publishing of Toronto to launch a new consumer fashion magazine. Called B, Canada's Style Magazine, the publication will feature lifestyle articles on women's and men's fashion, beauty, homestyle, food, travel, entertainment and personalities. B will have a circulation of 1.5 million. It will mainly have a controlled distribution at selected upper income households across Canada, through insertion in selected newspapers and in-store at the Bay. In addition, B will be available at newsstands. The first issue will be on the market Sept. 19.
