DEADLINE APPROACHING FOR 50 BEST COMPANIES

The deadline for nominating a company for Canada's 50 Best Managed Private Companies Program is Sept. 12. Companies can submit their own name. The annual award recognizes and honors companies that have implemented best business practices. Nominations can be made through the weekly nomination ads in The Financial Post, the 50 Best Web site at <http://www.arthurandersen.com/canada/50best>, or by calling a 1-800 number. The 50 Best program is in its sixth year. Its sponsors are Arthur Andersen, the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, The Financial Post and Le Groupe Mallette Maheu. The winners of the program will be profiled in the Dec. 12 issue of The Financial Post and will be honored at a gala on Feb. 1.
