MONOPOLY GAME IS LOOKING FOR A NEW TOKEN

Hasbro Canada of Longueuil, Que. is asking Canadians to vote for a new Monopoly game token. The company launched a contest this week, giving consumers a chance to vote for a new token and determine the country's favorite existing token. Consumers can make their vote via the Internet, through a 1-800 number or by mail. The prospective new token are: a piggybank, bi-plane and sack of money. The new token will be announced in January and added to the game in 1999. The 10 tokens currently included in the Monopoly game are the battleship, cannon, dog, horse and rider, iron, race car, shoe, thimble, top hat and wheelbarrow. The contest will be promoted using Internet ads and PR done by The Agency of Mississauga, Ont.
