ONTARIO FUNERAL SERVICE HAS A BRAINSTORM

The Ontario Funeral Service Association has handed its account to The BrainStorm Group of Toronto. The agency was chosen without a review. "Last year, we worked with BrainStorm on a project basis to develop the radio and print campaign that garnered amazing response from our members, the media and the target market," association chair Jim Cardinal says in a release. "Now we want to work with them in a closer client-agency relationship to extend the campaign." Last year's Ontario campaign has caught the eye of other funeral services associations. The Saskatchewan Funeral Service has received a license to run the campaign and discussions are under way with associations in Alberta, Ohio and New York. The campaign uses the theme "Funerals. A celebration of life." The Ontario Funeral Service Association says the ads struck a chord with consumers on a subject that was previously considered taboo. BrainStorm is now working on a new print and radio campaign for the organization. It will be presented to the group at its upcoming annual general meeting.
