HOME DEPOT PLANS TO BUILD SOUTH AMERICA MARKET

The Home Depot of Atlanta plans to expand its South American presence. In addition to opening two stores in Chile this year, the home improvement retailer will open another three outlets in Chile next year, and open its first store in Bueno Aires, Argentina in the last quarter of 1999. Home Depot currently operates 687 stores in North America.
