Anita Rusnov moved from Sierra Communications where she was project manager to the same position at Lasso Communications of Toronto. Shawn Khoorshed has joined the agency's business development department. Previously he was Internet strategist at Canscape Inc. Adrian Downs is now application developer at Lasso. He most recently graduated from Sheridan College.

The British Columbia chapter of the American Marketing Association has elected its board for the 1998/99 year. Vinetta Peek of Mark Anthony Cellars has moved up from president elect to president. Carol Nelson of Tourism B.C. is now president elect. Last year she was vice-president. Ray LeBlond of the B.C. Pavilion Corp. sits in the vice-president chair. Last year he was responsible for public relations. Tammy Towill of the Certified Management Association of B.C. will continue as secretary/treasurer and last year's president Walt Judas of Shandwick Canada is now past president. Tanya Oliva of Labatt Breweries in B.C. is responsible for collegiate relations, while Sarah Kirby of Tourism Vancouver is communications editor. Justine Greene of Go Direct Data Based Marketing will continue handling communications, while Maureen Rutherford of Rogers Video will be responsible for education and Evangeline Englezos of Vancouver Port Corp. will handle members benefits. Mary Mytting of The Image Group will continue to deal with member recruitment and Jim Southcott of Bryant, Fulton & Shee Advertising will handle programming. Lisa Kershaw of Ray & Berndtson/Tanton Mitchell is new to the board and in charge of pubic relations, while Bryan Mavrow of Columbus Group Communications will handle sponsorships. Chris Hunter of Grey Advertising will continue as treasurer-elect and Judi Richardson of Richardson Management will handle vision.
