COMPAQ TOUTS DESKPRO

Compaq Canada of Richmond Hill, Ont. launched a newspaper campaign this week to promote its Deskpro EP series of desktop computers. The full page ad is black and red and features the benefits of the Deskpro models. The ad asks readers to call the computer maker's 1-800 number or visit its Web site. It ends with the tagline "Compaq Better Answers." The ad is targeted to price conscious business computer purchasers. It will appear in The Globe and Mail, The Financial Post, Les Affaires, Montreal La Presse, Montreal Gazette, Ottawa Citizen, Calgary Herald, Edmonton Journal and the Vancouver Sun. The campaign was created by Palmer Jarvis DDB of Toronto.
