OMNICOM PUTS YOUTH MARKETING UNDER ONE UMBRELLA
By Adnews Staff
The Omnicom Group of New York has developed a new Canadian agency that will specialize in marketing to children. Called Imagination Youth Marketing, the agency will operate as a division of Palmer Jarvis DDB of Toronto. IYM will be headquartered in Vancouver and have an office in Toronto. In addition, Omnicom has decided to move the media planning and buying portion of the Hasbro Canada account from Griffin Bacal Volny of Toronto, another Omnicom agency, to IYM. The move was made to offer youth marketing clients more efficient integrated services. The Hasbro account includes toys marketed under the Milton Bradley, Larami, Cap Toys, Creative Play and Tonka banners. Sue Poland has joined IYM as vice-president and media director. Most recently she headed up the Hasbro account at GBV.
