CMI BUYS MDI

Creative Marketing International of Chicago has expanded its Canadian presence. The agency has bought MDI Communications of Toronto. The move will give MDI a North American presence. Both agencies specialize in direct mail, events and promotions. They also do some general advertising. MDI will now be known as Creative Marketing International. MDI founder Richard Lambert will become executive vice-president of CMI. MDI's client list includes Volvo Canada and the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. CMI's client list includes Chevrolet, Cadillac, Lexus, Infinity, Ameritech Cellular, Ameritech Consumer, Country Fresh Dairy Products and Carnival Cruises. CMI has offices in Detroit, Altanta, Los Angeles and Toronto.
