SECOND CUP MOVES INTO GROCERY STORES

The Second Cup of Toronto began selling its specialty coffee in grocery stores this week. The product is available in two Ontario grocery stores and will hit store shelves in Montreal in two weeks. Within two months, Second Cup hopes to sell the coffee in supermarkets in Montreal, Halifax, Vancouver and Calgary. Second Cup operates more than 355 cafes across the country. It also has a 70% stake in Coffee People, which operates over 300 cafes in the U.S. and internationally.
