CANTEL MOVES INTO MORE MARKETS WITH PAY-AS-YOU-GO SERVICE

Toronto-based Cantel AT&T has expanded its Pay-As-You-Go service to more than 25 markets in Canada. The service is now available in Abbotsford, B.C., Winnipeg, Hamilton, Ont., Quebec City, Halifax, Nova Scotia and Fredericton, N.B. Pay-As-You-Go was originally launched in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, London, Ont. Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal in May. Advertising plans for the service have also been expanded. It will use print, radio, cinema and outdoor ads, as well as posters in the bathrooms of bars and restaurants. The campaign was created by Gee, Jeffery & Partners Advertising of Toronto. French language advertising is handled by Groupaction of Montreal. Under the Pay-As-You-Go service, customers purchase a Mitsubishi cellular phone and one Cantel AT&T prepaid phone card. The card is valid for 60 days after activation and provides 60 minutes of calling in Canada. Each time customers make or receive a call, the cost of the minutes used is automatically deducted.
