COMPAQ UNVEILS HOME PRINTER

Compaq Computer Corp. of Houston is targeting the home computer market with its latest printer that came on the worldwide market this week. Called the IJ200, the machine is a color inkjet printer that will print over three black and white pages-per-minute and provides a 600 X 600 dots-per-inch resolution. In addition, the IJ200 will print just over one color page-per-minute. In Canada, the printer will be promoted using national print ads. Compaq in Canada is currently in the process of switching its ad account from Ammirati & Puris/Lintas of Toronto to Palmer Jarvis DDB of Toronto. It hasn't been determined which agency will work on the campaign. Ammirati & Puris will handle the media portion of the campaign.
