LYKES SUPPORTS OLD SOUTH NAME

Tampa-based Lykes Brothers is targeting gardeners in its latest Canadian promotion for its Old South brand of orange juice. Under the promotion, customers will be able to purchase Gardena gardening tools and accessories at a discounted price when they send in their Old South proof-of-purchase. The promotion will run until the end of the year. It is being supported with TV ads and in-store materials created by ESI Canada and black & co., both of Toronto. According to Lykes research, Old South's target audience spends a high proportion of their leisure time in the home and in garden-associated activities. In addition, Lykes has added two new flavors to its Old South line, Orange-Grape-Strawberry and Orange Peach. Lykes will be offering samples of its Old South juice at Home & Garden consumer trade shows being held across the country throughout the year. Coupons will also be given away.
