FALL AD PUSH FOR CANADIAN'S NEW BUSINESS CLASS
By Adnews Staff
Canadian Airlines International will start pushing its new Club Empress business class with the second flight of ads running in its fall campaign this year. The multimedia ad push starts Sept. 18 and runs until Christmas. Television, magazine and newspaper advertising will be used in the general campaign. Direct marketing and a lot of collateral material for travel agents and sales groups will be used specifically for the new business class on international flights, the start-up of which was reported yesterday in Adnews On-line. TBWA Chiat/Day handles media advertising while Ogilvy & Mather Direct does direct mail and collateral. The new service starts with a select number of routes on Oct. 16 and will eventually be expanded to all international flights. Featuring large, adjustable seats, individual video screens and flexible meal times, the new service was developed after asking frequent flyers what they wanted.
