MICROCELL UNLEASHES FIDO ON TORONTO STREETS

Montreal-based Microcell Telecommunications is traveling throughout the Toronto area to promote its PCS service called Fido. The company launched the Fidomobile this week, a bus that showcases Fido products and services. It will travel to special events around the city, offering consumers a tour and a chance to win on-site and in-store contests. They can also make a free phone call using Fido. One dollar from every handset sold between April and August will be donated to Canine Vision Canada Dog Guides, a foundation dedicated to training seeing-eye dogs for the blind and visually impaired. Microcell plans to take the bus wherever its Fido service is available. Its next stop is Montreal. The bus has already toured Vancouver. Advertising for Microcell is created by BOS of Montreal.
