NEW SPOT LAUNCHED ENCOURAGING PROPER CELL PHONE USE

Gee, Jeffery & Partners Advertising of Toronto released its third cinema ad for Cantel AT&T and Cineplex Odeon theatres last week. The commercial is a play on an early 70s Kung Fu movie, complete with a choreographed fight between two martial arts experts. The spot urges theatre patrons to turn off their cell phones and pagers while watching the movie. This is the third spot Cantel has launched in the past few months to tell moviegoers to turn off their cell phones. The first one was a story about the defusing of a nuclear device. The second was a story set on death row. This ad was pulled last month after consumer complaints.
