CHAPTERS JOINS FORCES WITH THE GLOBE AND MAIL

Toronto-based Chapters Inc. has teamed up with The Globe and Mail to launch a Web site for book lovers. The site will be available in the fall, offering books news, views and reviews from The Globe, a national calendar of book-related events and discussion forums. In addition, visitors will be able to purchase books. The site will be designed and developed by Chapters and The Globe and Mail. The content and community portion of the site will be managed by Globe Information Services, the electronic affiliate of The Globe and Mail. The commerce portion of the site will be handled by CYBERplex of Toronto. The Web site address is <http://www.chaptersglobe.com>. The Globe and Mail is a national newspaper. Chapters is a book retailer with 338 bookstores across Canada.
