By Adnews Staff
Okidata of Mount Laurel, New Jersey introduced five new printers to the North American market this week, and will launch another in the summer. The printers available now are called the Okipage 20, 20DX, 20DXn, 10i and 10i/n. The printer that will be available beginning in the summer is called the 8C. All the products are powered by advanced light-emitting diode digital print head technology. The 20 Series of printers are for workgroup situations. They feature a 50,000 page-per-month duty cycle and 600 dpi resolution. The 20DX and 20DXn feature duplex printing for cost and environmentally conscious businesses. The 10i printers print 10-pages-per-minute and are geared to small businesses. The 8c is a color printer which prints eight-pages-per-minute. Okidata officials were unavailable to comment on Canadian advertising plans for the printers. Canadian PR is done by The Communications Group of Toronto. Okidata already markets a line of monochrome printers that print between four and 20 pages-per-minute.
