INGLIS COOKS UP INTERACTIVE CAMPAIGN

Inglis Ltd. of Mississauga, Ont. wants to speak directly to consumers. The appliance-maker will launch a national TV campaign this week that will feature a 1-888 number so consumers can access more information about the appliances featured in the spots. When a consumer calls the number they will automatically be entered to win a vacation to Universal Studios in Florida, will receive product information and a voucher for a night out at the movies for two, redeemable with a purchase. The campaign promotes Inglis' new Whirlpool Gold line of appliances, which will be available in April. The line consists of high-end products including refrigerators, ranges, wall ovens, over-the-range microwaves, washing machines and dryers. The $1.6 million campaign will air in English Canada. It was created in-house by Inglis and by Young & Rubicam of Toronto.
