SOFTWARE BLOCKS DIRTY, UNWANTED INTERNET SITES
By Adnews Staff
The Online Christian Network has added a product to its suite of family-oriented Internet services that will block out Internet sites that you don't want your family looking at. Called Internet Guardian, the software enables parents to block, prevent, screen or shut down any offensive material, incoming or outgoing transmissions or non-approved release of confidential information such as name, address, phone number and credit cards. Users will receive two upgrades of the software each month to block out any new unwanted sites. Internet Guardian is part of the organization's "Family Pack" of Internet services, which also includes the construction and hosting of a family's personal Web page, as well as the OCN's monthly "success and family" audio series. OCN will promote the Family Pack with Internet Guardian through its various franchisees in Canada, the U.S. and several other countries including Bermuda and England. The franchisees will promote the software in their own communities and churches. OCN develops Internet services to the Christian market.
